Chief in 2009 I am still an active Firefighter/EMS and Engine Operator. This service has been with East Rivanna Fire Company in Keswick.

The time Wayne Gentry and I skipped school (Wayne always had Mr. Hurt's approval) and drove my car to Afton Mountain at Swananowa to get a book for Wayne's girlfriend. It had been snowing and the slush on the road would hinder a tank, but that sure didn't stop us from our "mission". Quite frankly, the stuff that I and many others did still brings a smile to my face.
