Ohlen Guy "Beau" Loeser, 65, of Scottsville, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at his home. He was born on November 2, 1950, a son of the late William Harold and Mary Lucy (Herndon) Loeser. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Lucy Loeser; and two brothers, William and Claude.Beau was an enthusiastic musician whose passion for music could be seen throughout his life. He got his start in downtown Charlottesville, where he played at various local nightspots. He then followed his dream to further his music career where he moved to Nashville. There, he played on stage with many world renowned country music artists at the Grand Ole Opry. For many years he did a ventriloquist act with his sidekick, Buford.Beau had also operated and managed a Gourmet French Restaurant, serving all kinds of Epicurean Cuisine. His restaurant overlooked the Potomac River near the Antietam Battlefield. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.Survivors include three brothers, Jacob and wife, Deborah, Eldridge and wife, Sheril, and John; a sister, Fay Lappa and husband, James; sister-in-law, Brenda Loeser; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
